Description
Ruyi is a classic type of teapot that originated during the Chinese Ming Dynasty. The lid is even and symmetric with a four-petal pattern, recognized as a symbol of auspiciousness; the plump, round body allows tea leaves a comfortable space in which to stretch and expand; and the decoration around the body applies both delicate calligraphy as well as hand-painted images, connecting and enriching the value and meaning of the teapot as a whole. This teapot also has three legs along the bottom of the body, granting stability and simple magnificence.
